How recordings workThe rules, in plain terms
Every class is recorded, physical and virtual alikeVirtual sessions record from the live room. Campus classes record the instructor's screen and audio, so a virtual learner and a campus learner get the same library.
Always onPublished within two hours of the class endingProcessing, chapter marks and captions are automatic. If a recording is late, it shows here as processing rather than disappearing.
AutomaticRecordings support the live class, they do not replace itAttendance still counts toward your certificate. The recording is for revision, for the day your power goes, and for the part you did not catch first time.
PolicyDownload for offline, or take audio onlyA full session is roughly 240MB. Audio only is about 18MB, which is the option to use when data is tight or the connection is unstable.
Data-friendlyFree tier keeps recordings for 30 days, paid tiers keep them for the life of the programmeDiploma learners keep access for twelve months after graduation, so you can revise before an interview.
By tierLearners are never recorded without being toldOnly the instructor's camera, screen and audio are captured. Your camera and your questions in chat stay out of the recording unless you ask to be included.
Consent firstLinks are signed and personalA recording link works for your account only and expires. Sharing it outside your cohort will not work, which protects both the instructor and the learners in the room.
